Grow Fabulous Organic Garlic is a day long class offered in Bundanoon, Southern Highlands NSW. The class is designed specifically for the home grower or micro commercial producer. Garlic is a cool/cold climate crop and does very well in the Southern Highlands, South Western Sydney, Richmond, Goulburn, Bathurst, Braidwood and even as far south as Tumut and Cooma.

You start with the "garlic basics" so that you understand plant anatomy, growing needs and the varieties available. You then learn to systematically prepare to grow, plant, harvest, dry and cure your crop for sale or so you and your customers can have garlic for much of the year and don't have to buy imported, often "old" garlic sold in the big supermarkets and shops.

A light lunch is provided and tea, coffee and home made cake offered on arrival and for morning tea.

The class includes morning tea, cake and a light lunch.

Bronwyn Richards and Helen Lynch, of Wynlen House, conveners of the Braidwood Garlic Growers Group, Landcare Champion of NSW 2017 in Innovation and Farm Management, and long term garlic growers, are your facilitators for the day.  Bronwyn Richards is a member of the Australian Garlic Industry Association which keeps growers up to date with garlic growing in Australia. Helen and Bronwyn have been growing garlic commercially since 2012 and share their expertise and experience in garlic growing, so that you can start to grow successfully.

NOTE: Garlic is not suitable for growing in equatorial or tropical climates.

If Wynlen House has to cancel the event for any reason a full refund of the course fees paid will be made. If you are unable to attend the workshop for any reason Wynlen House will refund the fee, minus a $10 handling charge, if notified a minimum of 24 hours before the event. No refund will be paid if notification is received less than 24 hours before the event.
