  • Description

Garlic is a most remarkable cool/cold climate plants. It is grown around the world for its fabulously flavoured blubs which are also highly valued for their medicinal qualities. The garlic family is organised in twelve groupings generally world wide with varieties from each group having different growing characteristics and, most surprisingly, flavour highlights. This two hour tasting and talk lets you experience the flavours of some of the groups grown organically by us in Bundanoon & Braidwood, especially those that are not widely grown and eaten in Australia.

You will be tasting from the Creole group, the Artichoke group, the Marbled Purple Stripe, Porcelain and Turban groups, You will try them first raw then as garlic bread, and some oven roasted, so you can consider the flavour highlights and what cuisine and may best compliment each group. We will also share growing tips for those of you who want to try growing some of your own!
